Overview

What this endpoint does

Licence fraud is rarely elaborate. It is usually an expired card, a licence covering the wrong vehicle class, or a photograph of someone else's document. All three pass a visual check and fail a structured one.

Submit a licence number with the holder's date of birth and get back issue and expiry dates, the vehicle classes actually endorsed, issuing authority, and holder details for matching. Run it at onboarding, then run it again on a schedule, because a licence that was valid in March may not be in September.

Every field is returned structured and timestamped, ready to store against the record it belongs to. Nothing requires parsing a photograph or interpreting free text.
